It’s before dawn and the lavish front doors to the state- of- the- art design firm swing open. Excessive designing hours are nothing new to Monique delaHOUSSAYE Breaux, president and principal designer of Posh Exclusive Interiors. She has been doing this for seventeen years. Her keen ability to visualize her design concept in completion before it even begins makes her a stickler for detail. Her enthusiastic and attentive staff follows her through the design firm documenting her every requests. Upon completion of her in-house responsibilities she rushes out the door to catch the plane to her next design location. Multiple design projects all over the country take her once again to the sky.

Her unique and comprehensive philosophy on couture design and her desire to provide endless services to her extensive roster of clients have established her as one of the most sought after award winning designers in the United States. She has received countless awards and accolades for her specialized designs and travels the United States servicing her clients’ design projects.

Monique’s design portfolio includes traditional, transitional and contemporary design. Her sophisticated style and her unique approach to design are complemented by her formal education experiences. She has been awarded degrees from Louisiana State University (LSU) and the acclaimed Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City.

Monique not only serves as president and principal designer for POSH Exclusive Interiors, she has also conducted research for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Computer Aided Design (CAD) used by apparel and interior designers nationwide. Monique personally creates and coordinates all facets of Posh Exclusive Interiors design projects. Her extensive background in textiles and soft- good construction combined

with her construction background has enabled her to design creations which are unique, innovative and glamorous. Monique designed the complete contemporary collection of minaudieres for the world renowned Vivian Alexander, featured in the movie OCEANS 13, starring Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, and George Clooney.

Monique participated in the Home and Garden Television (HGTV) show to compete as one of the designers on the TV show Designer’s Challenge. She was selected by the homeowner as the designer to complete the project for HGTV. After multiple requests by viewers for design ideas she recently launched her own line of furniture and fully designed rooms that are sold over the internet at www.buyposhrooms.com offering affordable design delivered to your door. Her new company was introduced by New York Daily news, and featured on FOX Live, Bridal Guide, Teen Vogue, Haute Living, CindyDole.com, Social Life magazine, Hampton’s Magazine, Panache Magazine, About.com and New Orleans magazine.
